Fred lost me when he started hiring Bush’s old cronies.
That’s fine. If that’s all that turned you off, you never were in Fred’s corner anyway. No loss.
Problem is, when it comes to serious folks who know how to run a campaign, the pickings are pretty darned slim. I’m not going to fault the guy for hiring a couple of people who worked for Bush at one time—campaign directors, etc., are a revolving door.
You mean Reagan’s old cronies?
Sorry, but its a very small fraternity the professional campaign staffers have, there is going to be some overlap. Indeed it may say something that these "cronies" have left Bush's camp.
So, instead he should have found someone who didn’t work for Bush?
Which means, BTW...either they aren’t worth their salt, or they haven’t worked on a Presidential campaign in 20 years...so in your mind they’d be unqualified and inexperienced, and instead, you’d bitch about that.
Can you name any top candidate who does not have former bush people working for him?
‘Fred lost me when he started hiring Bushs old cronies.’
If thats your standard, you should just go fishing on election day. There has always been ‘holdovers’ from administration to administration, dem and GOP alike, and most of the time when one takes over from the other, many remain.
All you get when you hire ‘beyond DC’ is Jimmy Carter’s incompetency.
No thanks. Been there, done that.
The Bush’s won...its a good move.
