As far as going senile, I don't think so I think he has an eye on the Republicans regaining control of the Senate. Do not forget he was one of the few Republicans elected to office during the Watergate era and his freshman term as Senator was in the minority. He was part of the cabal that planned and established the Senate Republican Majority.
Well, I'm kind of glad to hear that... Or maybe not. It might be easier to forgive if it was a disability rather than just playing politics with the future of the Middle East AND the security of America.
I'll take your word on this; I imagine you see and speak to him often and can judge what his mental state is. Been years since I talked to him, much longer since I could say "I know him".
