No wonder the aupply of 7.62X39 has been scant. One can only hope a reasonable proportion of these rounds were ‘gimmicked’ to detonate in the rifle...

That's what I was thinking. But, considering the source, the chances are slim.
I wish we'd outfit some cameras with hidden guns. We'd get some important targets and once they caught on they'd be camera shy (which would deny them one their main weapons).

The word “collaborator” used to be the most vile insult in several languages in post-WW2 Europe.
Those days, like that generation, are gone.

The folks at the Beeb seem themselves as citizens of the world; not British, and certainly not people who would ally themselves with the evil Bush.
This was just a transaction to free a fellow citizen of the world who was being held by people who are victims of the Americans and Jews.
That’s just the way they look at it.

Although one could put one's self in Johnston's shoes and thank their lucky stars, a sobering thought is that the money will not last. If this is confirmed, then it surely means that some luckless devil, will eventually be kidnapped. How could this not be?
I believe that Johnston fell over himself to support the anti-Jewish cause. If this is wrong, then I stand corrected.
There are but few, who can recall the BBC in WW2. We would tune in to their overseas service. There would be a prolonged hush. Then a majestic voice- authoritative and lordly would sound off.
Ici Londres.....This is London.
Then Beethoven's Fifth would start. It would sound the V sign in morse code. People risked the concentration camp (so we were told) to tune in. This in occupied Europe.
Gone with the bloomin' wind.

“Would Wilson and other BBC officials also now like to comment on this report in Al-Hayat Al-Jadida especially located by my sources in Gaza that Jaysh Al-Islam (the so-called Army of Islam group who were holding Johnston) received $5 million and a million Kalashnikov rifle bullets in the deal to release Johnston?”
This is good news for the families of anyone killed or injured by Jaysh Al-Islam. They can now sue the BBC for damages.

I wish we'd outfit some cameras with hidden guns. We'd get some important targets and once they caught on they'd be camera shy (which would deny them one their main weapons). The treasonous Western press is the single greatest asset the Jihadis have in this war.
If the CIA and other intelligence agencies were allowed to do their jobs they would be spreading disinformation designed to make Muslims distrust reporters and camera crews- Tell them they are all spies, that the Mossad secretly control Reuters, that CNN cameras are used as homing beacons for air strikes, etc. Muslims are exceptionally paranoid and conspiracy prone, make use of it.
The relationship between our press and our enemies is too cozy and we should be doing more to disrupt the partnership.

1,000,000 bullets? Gee, and here I thought England enforced strict gun control, pretty much banning firearm possession and useage.

I agree but can't imagine what might be done.

I don’t think that Johnston was kidnapped at all. The BBC is on the terrorists’ side. Why kidnap a BBC reporter?
Like the case of the Italian communist journalist who was self kidnapped in Iraq, the Johnston affair was probably another case of a journalist’s trying to help the terrorists by raising money for them. Despicable.

A million rounds is only a thousand cases. That might be a treasure trove to a bunch of Hamas murderers, but not much of a bump in the supply world wide.I hope they kill each other with the ammo, the five million bucks can be spent on funerals..
