I want to say here that I was never prouder to be an American than I was on June 28. I was at home and unable to access the computer (SHARING WITH VISITING FAMILY!!!!) in order to thank every FReeper who fought this, and particularly the FReepers who kept on posting all the fax and phone numbers and the names of the guilty senators. Only in America, like the feller says.

I emailed/faxed/phoned AND personally visited my Senators in Washington (I live in Florida) for two solid weeks during this debate. I was so proud to be an American when this bill went down. The people have spoken! The system worked, however, we need to remain ever vigilant that this horrible legislation is never brought to the light of day again.
