It's so inspiring to see such a great crowd at WR every Friday, also that "anti-war" moonbattery has been so reduced across the country with DC as a shining example. Merely countering with good signs and bringing attention to their actions and signs is highly effective in spite of no liberal media coverage. Here's my general impression:
Moonbats: Hey, look at my sign, I'm protesting the wounded!
Free Republic: Yes, look at their sign and their backgrounds. And also look at our patriotic signs and flags that support the troops! Isn't that better?
Moonbats: Oh, um, er, look at my new sign, I support the troops if we surrender and bring them home and hey, let's have government give more money to the hospital, and see, I have a flag like those other guys now. I was never protesting the wounded, that was just a misunderstanding. Now you can how groovy I am. Oops, the troops bus is coming, gotta go pack up and get out of here!
Free Republic: Yeah, right. Hey, gotta go wave my flag, the troops bus is coming!

Great report! I was there but missed the drink-throwing incident -- it's interesting to read about it!
Just one thing: a couple of FReepers were misnamed:
Here is VictoryNY who does the awesome shouting to the troops and cars:
And here is PrezUSA222 in the burgundy shirt and sunglasses he's a man, baby, yeah!
Here they are the previous week: (left to right) VAFlagWaver, VictoryNY and PrezUSA222.

Great report and great photos. Glad the altercation didn't turn violent. These "PEACE-NIKS" , as you very well know, are CRAZY!!!
I look forward to seeing my favorite FReepers soon.

The young tanker we spoke with is hoping the doctors will be able to save his right foot so he can rejoin his brothers in Iraq.
He also carries a permanent reminder of his service and sacrifice with a tattoo on his left leg. The tattoo is a picture of a M-16 with the muzzle in the ground, a soldiers helmet hung on the rifle, and two dog tags hanging from the M-16. The two dog tags represent his two close friends killed in Iraq (one killed by a sniper and the other killed by a grenade).
Your life will forever be changed when you have an opportunity to talk to these true heroes.

There is nothing like them!
Keep up the good work, we hope to visit soon.

Loved that new sign—it is awesome and I’m sure it’s very, very encouraging to our wounded heroes to see it on the street corner. I love that it’s so large—might this be Daughter of All Banners? (DOAB?)

Great report!! Thanks. Here are the 'bad boys' from Jan. 27,2007 United For Peace and Justice protest and the police talking to them.
The police didn't show up until some moonbats threatened a wounded soldier. Check out tgslTakoma's video's HERE

Give peace a chance...kill the terrorists! LOLOL!!! That is great! Can we use it at our rally? Mac would really like that! The one that got them going at our rally on Friday night was
Save Darfur
Abandon Iraq
????????????
The alternate is Save Darfur...Kill Iraqis?????
Great job as always!

Great job as always, my friends! Thank you to all of you for remaining out there! Thanks to Tom for posting the report & great photos!
The moonbats have attacked us 4 times that I can remember. The first time it was cereal, and since it was a moonbat it was Lucky Charms. LOLOLOL!!! Of course they missed. Then they ratched up the breakfast menu to eggs. Didn’t even make the curb. Missed again. There was a 64 ounce drink. You guessed it...missed. Lastly and appropriately since this is Los Angeles, the remainder of a Starbucks cold drink. Didn’t even come close. Zero for 4 attempts!
On Friday night as Mac was walking back across the crosswalk with his sign, a motorist threatened to run him over. Mac being Mac walked back in front of the guys car and invited him to go for it. Moonbat mouth...bigger that his cajones.
We also had a few birds offered to us for our new sign
Save Darfur
Abandon Iraq
????????????
You can use it if you’d like. As you know, Pinkos hate for their hypocrisy to be exposed.
Keep up the good work everyone! You are inspirational!

also that "anti-war" moonbattery has been so reduced across the country While they may have been reduced by a few, they are alive and nasty as ever. We counter them in Studio City, CA (Los Angeles)every Friday, and they are still strong after 4 years. Not to mention nutty as ever. Ours are on about impeachment. My suspicion is that one or more of them works at the Impeachment Center in Los Angeles. The recruiting is going to boost their numbers in October when they put on a major campaign the week of the 20th. I plan on calling our school board and attempt to get them banned from the campuses. If recruiters can't go on then the Lefties shouldn't either.
