ICE arrests two at local Swift plant

Two arrests in connection with a federal identity theft investigation were made at the Marshalltown Swift plant Tuesday, though a large-scale, sweeping raid like the one in December did not take place.
A union representative and human resources worker were arrested at the Swift & Co. meatpacking planton charges of bringing in and harboring illegal immigrants.
The arrests were part of a nationwide sweep of Swift plants that netted 19 arrests overall, said Richard Rocha, a spokesman with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Ah, that good old American company which has an excellent brand name of Swift and Company. It always put out good meat.
For those of you keeping up with American brands and American companies, Swift and Company sold out to a company in Brazil. It is no longer American. I guess the Brazilian company will continue using the brand name. Deceptive?
