Americans Against Escalation in Iraq, an umbrella organization of anti-war groups, is seeking to increase the pressure on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell over his position on the Iraq war. The group is launching a television ad asking McConnell if he agrees with President Bush on whether the United States is “making progress” in Iraq.

“Senator McConnell is obstructing an up or down vote on a safe end to the war,” said Americans Against Escalation in Iraq deputy manager Tara McGuinness.

The ad, airing in Louisville and Lexington, is scheduled to begin airing tonight.

The group has already been robo-calling the offices of 12 Republican senators and 52 Republican House members, urging them to vote on the anti-war amendments.

Why would anyone interesting in truthful journalism (is that a contradiction in terms?) ever read Politico which is a clone of WAPO in every way. I avoid EVER linking to any MSM site and find that my life is much more pleasant.

If all who support our efforts in Iraq (and our troops) do not write/email Sen McConnell to urge him to continue to support the current policy, it will be a shame on us.

"“Senator McConnell is obstructing an up or down vote on a safe end to the war,”

Safe for whom? Iraqi children? American citizens? Al-Qaeda sheiks? Ah, yes, Al-Qaeda sheiks. Let's have a big boo-hoo for them on the backs of the Iraqis.

We had better get on the phone and head this stuff off or we will be letting our troops and our country down.

Let’s ask the Cambodians, Vietnamese and Laotians about the “safe end to the war” they have with North Vietnam and the Khmer Rouge.

First group to interview - those in the Killing Fields of Cambodia (including my friends).

Everything after that is commentary.

Where are these communist front groups getting the money to run ads? Most of the commies around here are dope freaks living in shacks while collecting disability from SS.
