“They will be more than frustrated then. And even the people who want to end the war now will remember who the lilly livered beltway cowards were.”

There will NOT be a safe quarter for them anywhere in America... they will pay and pay and pay and pay... a debt that can never be balanced!

Politicians are incapable, it seems, of seeing beyond the next election cycle. The danger we face is not the failure of some stupid foreign adventure for oil or empire or whatever these leftist fools have talked themselves into. It is a battle with the most dangerous and implacable foe we have ever faced. A battle between civilization and barbarism.

There has been nothing like it since the Vandals, Huns, and other nomads swept into the west in the last days of the Roman Empire. Our "leaders," except for President Bush to a certain degree, simply do not understand the magnitude and immediacy of the danger. These are not just Vandals, they are Vandals with nukes and they are already inside the gates.

Iraq is not our last chance to stop them but it is our last chance to stop them without terrible losses and sacrifices. I don't want my kids sentenced to a life of total war. I don't want to be dropping H-bombs by the hundreds on these people but that is where we are headed if we fail in Iraq.

Soon our calculations will have to be made in the cold calculus of survival: Us or them. And the surrender will be spoken in Arabic, not English. The decision we must make now is how terrible will be the cost...
