The fact remains right now Thompson cannot win the Republican nomination because he has not declared his candidacy!

Right now nobody can win the Republican nomination because they are not holding primaries! The horror!

He’s got his hands full with moving the mouths of those puppets Pelosi,Kennedy and Schumer,as well as so many others of their ilk.Being a billionaire puppeteer is hard work.

I've often wondered that myself and it could be an excellent strategy but it isn't the point of my statement and it doesn't make him a candidate. All I'm saying is he isn't a candidate and people are assuming I'm against Fred. I'm not for or against anyone who is not a candidate because they are irrelevant until they declare.

Dog - bone - locked jaw

have a good day :O)

“At the very least, Hillary has a fight on her hands.”

I could not agree more. As I have said before, this country will NOT put a Socialist in the WH.The closest they can get is Congress, and even then they encounter resistance.
As long as all good Americans stay the course and call these creeps out for what they are,we will prevail.

“The momentum for the FREDeration is building...and building....”

INDEED!

Genuine conservatives in act and deed are fed up with the RHINO candidates. Fred’s a smart guy. He’ll win and deliver us from the horrific RHINO choices. The people are SPEAKING OUT - via the vote.

Do you think the Black community of America will be so disappointed, and maybe a little angry, if Hillary does wrestle the nominationa away from Obama, that they will not be enthusiastic about going to the polls on Election Day?

Just a thought.

But of course! That election provides no parallel to the current situation. What is your point?

It'll be interesting to see. I certainly can't claim to speak for them, so the following is all, of course, pure speculation on my part.

So far, the black "civil rights" elite seems to be split on Obama, with Jesse Jackson offering his endorsement while Al Sharpton offers scorn. Obama has already, and absurdly, been branded as "not really black" by some in the NAACP. Hillary, on the other hand, might benefit from Bill's continued popularity among most black Democrats.

Still, if the race stays close and things get dirty between Hillary and Obama, I strongly suspect many in the black community might not be thrilled that Hillary trashed the first serious black candidate for President in US history.

In short, my cop out answer is that it's still too early to say.

What is your point?

People now are as sure with the assumption Thompson will declare just as people back then were sure with their assumption Dewey would win. The reality was vastly different from the expectation. Anything can happen.

" Anything can happen."

Yes, and Hilary may not get the Dem nomination, but that's not the way to bet. I'd certainly like to play poker with you.
