It’s my bet that this guy is not an NRA member and that he had no objection to the arbitrary control of who has a license for a gun in NY; until, that is, HIS license was revoked.

It is, after all, the real central issue in the gun control debate - a state that is allowed to regulate is a state that is allowed to deny. And "state" reasons for denial may be anything a minor state functionary takes into his or her little head.

But hey, it's no big deal. The state that just confiscated your means of defending your life will protect you - it doesn't trust you, but you can trust it. Sure you can. Because it turns out that a state that is entrusted with defense of your life is one that can deny it. For whatever reason that minor functionary takes into his or her little head.

Gun control isn’t about controlling guns.
