A prominent civil rights lawyer is charging that the NYPD is yanking his gun license to force him to cooperate in a probe of alleged police brutality.
Michael Warren, who represented rapper Tupac Shakur and the teens accused in the Central Park jogger case, said yesterday he received a July 2 letter demanding he surrender his handgun and rifle and submit a written statement about a June 21 incident in Brooklyn.

NYC... an total police state. Nothing new here.
It’s my bet that this guy is not an NRA member and that he had no objection to the arbitrary control of who has a license for a gun in NY; until, that is, HIS license was revoked.
But hey, it's no big deal. The state that just confiscated your means of defending your life will protect you - it doesn't trust you, but you can trust it. Sure you can. Because it turns out that a state that is entrusted with defense of your life is one that can deny it. For whatever reason that minor functionary takes into his or her little head.
