I trust private companies in Mexico, China or in the U.S. No private company wants to be sued and they do want to produce good products so they sell them and have repeat customers and more customers.

Somehow, I do not think we will find Walmart or any other of those companies fingerprints on toothpaste with anti-freeze or defective tires.

You trust evil,corrupt,politicians (the government) to keep you safe. You trust the unaccountable.The Godfather is as insightful as popular American popular culture has to offer. The core image was that Don Corelone had all the judges and politicians tied up like puppets on a string. Well the Mafia is not what is was, and corporate America nows owns much of what Don Corleone purportly owned. If the most recent debate on Amnesty showed us anything, it did show us who was owned by whom and who was dancing on a string, and just like in the Don's day, the government reflects the will of those who buy it, not those that elect it.

Corporations are under siege by government not controlling anything. What you are repeating is Marxist/liberal anti-capitalist propaganda.

Corporations have to pay minimum wage,union wages, union benefits, matching social security tax, etc.

In addition the government tells corporations who they can hire as in affirmative action.

Corporations can’t build a plant anywhere without going through years of approvals by the EPA,environmental groups etc. as a result many haven’t been able to build refineries, nuclear power plants , etc.

Now corporations have to prove to the media and Democrats how green they are so that they let them stay in business.

Corporations get sued everyday by lawyers and idiots pretending some made up sickness just like Edwards did.

No wonder corporations are moving their plants overseas.I would too.If I owned a company i wouldn’t want to be harassed daily by all of these government agencies and pay all these taxes etc.
