I admit I was somewhat concerned but then learned that Thompson had been separated and divorced for some time from his first wife, that she and their kids liked and got along with the second wife, etc. Family does matter and I do believe that there were people who didn’t vote for Kerry because of his wife. Kerry fits the category of Trophy Spouse more than Mrs. Thompson IMHO.
