Iranian authorities have closed off a northern border crossing with Iraq in both directions, a senior Iraqi official confirms.
According to Gharib Ali, district commissioner of Sulaimaniyah 200to 300 cargo vehicles cross on a daily basis between the two countries through Bashmakh, but the Iranian authorities closed the crossing 'without giving any reasons.'
Bashmakh lies to the west of Sulaimaniyah 350 kilometers north of Baghdad.
The incident coincided with reports of heavy shelling of the northern border areas between Iran and Iraq near Arbil province in the autonomous Kurdish region, DPA said.
Reportedly, Iranian artillery started bombarding the area known as Hajj Omran around noon on Saturday.
Sure the did.... I would imagine that it is a one-way closure. I guarantee they are still sending fighters and weapons...

its a iranian web page
they yanked the story
May a brigade of spy squirrels were attacking...
Story has been pulled perhaps it was propaganda?
well there is a lot of activity in kurdish areas
and both Turkey and Iran are going after them
They’re just begging for a good ass kicking. I can’t figure out why.
I wonder if we would ever seal our borders. afterall J(ch)erk(t)off has hunches.
If it were propaganda, it would still be up. My thoughts.
That may well be true. It was just the first thing that entered my mind. The fact that the story has been removed implies either the Iranian media was wrong or was told to kill the story.
Shots, that is the perfect Squirrel jihadi.
Thanks for giving me a smile.
