By Ray Long and Jeffrey Meitrodt Tribune staff reporters Published July 15, 2007

SPRINGFIELD -- Stuck for weeks combing over numbers in the state's fiscal impasse, Gov. Rod Blagojevich found himself the object of ridicule Saturday over a newly discovered $600 bill for a makeup artist he used when he unveiled his budget months ago.

"He didn't get his money's worth," said state Sen. Larry Bomke (R-Springfield).

"He didn't get his money's worth,"

Make that, "The taxpayers didn't get their money's worth".

That’s pretty gay, even for Blagojevich.

Well, it can really drain one, flying back and forth from Springfield to Chicago every single day.

We don’t want our precious guv to have bags under his eyes, now do we? Besides, it was obviously (once he got caught, that is) a mistake to pay with our money, rather than use his own.

A make-up artist for a con artist.

By the way there is an impeachment movement for this creep.

I find this odd. Even in Washington, D.C., the epicenter of vain politicians, one in-town call by a professional makeup artist doesn’t cost that much. He must have needed spackling before the makeup.

Bomke is a putz and doesn't get it. How else are you going to slide slush-fund money onto the state budget, Larry? Think, boy!!

That makeup job probably paid for bribes to two or three guys.

That is a construction job. No way a slippery politician is going to get caught hiring an illegal alien...

Rest easy, Illinois taxpayers, imagine having to foot the bill for Charlie Crist’s makeup! :)
