The Atlanta Constitution is as separated from the real world and from the vast majority of the people who live in its service area, as the New York Times. Their blindness is deliberate, aggressive, and pervasive. Only the abject financial failure of these newspapers can get them to see the light.

Rather than crafting these pathetic sob stories, Susan Varela ought to go down to the southern Mexican border to see how its immigration detainees are treated. Now *that* would be a news story.

But she clearly has zero concept of the harsh treatment applied to visa and immigration violators almost everywhere and anywhere around the planet.

I gather from the stupidity of this story that the AJC actually prefers to have ignorant nitwits covering its news beats.

The AJC is ownwed by Cox Communications. They also own WSB who’s lineup consists of Neal Boortz, Hannity and Mike Savage.
Between these powerhouses they pull in huge ratings, boocoo’s of advertisers and listeners.
On the other hand the newspaper has a largely liberal staff and its losing readers and advertisers on a daily basis.
You’d think Cox would wake up and smell the coffee and get shed of Cynthia Tucker, J. Bookman and the rest of those left leaning socialists and go back to honest reporting and reflecting the views of the majority of Georgians.
