Yep, there is a misunderstanding - or willful ignorance - about the horrible Z Visa proposal in the Shamnesty bill.

Z Visas were by no means restricted to Mexicans and Hondurans and other Hispanics. They would have been available to ANYONE claiming illegal presence in the U.S. prior to 1/1/2007.

Just to be clear, ANYONE includes Canadians, Russians, Chinese, Thais, Pakistanis, Nigerians, French, or anyone else with the cajones to state to CIS, “I’m here illegally since December 30, 2006” or before (that includes native American citizens wanting a new identity, so long as they have good acting skills and no fingerprints on file anywhere).

So when someone charges that opposition to Amnesty is “racist”, just state that your primary concern is the large number of illegal Lithuanians, Scots, and Swedes now in America (substitute you own geneaology).

I’m not going to dig too deeply into this because I have other fish to fry at the moment.

However, his conviction for incest or rape of whatever would have been considered an aggravated felony on the N-400 naturalization application. That’s an automatic disqualifier for naturalization, because aggravated felonies cannot surmount the “good character” guidelines and requirement established by law and by CIS/INS.

I’m pretty certain that he would not have been legally eligible for naturalization on that basis alone. But if he lied on his N-400 about the conviction, than that lie also is an automatic disqualifier (also subjecting him to federal charges of both fraud and perjury).

In any case there were any number of valid reasons for timely deportation of this freak.

I guess it’s worth noting that this is very unlikely to have been his first sexual crime since his incest conviction. Probably not his first murder either.

Thank you for a thorough and knowledgeable response to the issue presented. Your last comments about this not being his first such crime, or first such murder, are also in line.
