Angry exchange of words erupted between an anti-illegal immigration protester and a supporter of the church's day-labor site. Then the protester sprayed Mace on the man, who broke the protester's camera and injured the protester's face.

The protest, which began at about 7 a.m., drew dozens of Palomar College students and immigrant rights activists in support of the church's day-labor site. About 20 anti-illegal immigration protesters were also present waiving American flags and picket signs.
Sorry, Father, but did you say that they should talk to the feds about your day labor site? And as for the protest, a protest of illegal immigration, it's so nice that the reporter implies that they just happened along, and of course, were all the trouble.

I understand the belief that it will not be prosecuted, in which case that becomes the story. They are beginning to show their desparation. That is a good thing, if we remain non-violent but insistent on our rights, including criminal prosecutions for assault.
