WASHINGTON, July 15, 2007 Afghan and coalition forces captured nine extremists today during a joint operation in Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, officials reported. Credible intelligence led coalition forces to a compound in the Chaparhar district suspected of providing sanctuary to Taliban militants. Nine men were detained and will be questioned about their involvement in militant activities.
"Afghan and coalition forces will continue to work together to deter insurgents from disrupting the peace and stability in Afghanistan," said Army Maj. Chris Belcher, a Combined Joint Task Force-82 spokesman.
No shots were fired during the operation, no damage was done and there were no injuries or civilian deaths.

it's very demoralizing to out troops.
They should put these 'detainees' in a holding bin for the duration...not let them go to fight another day
