LAKE MARY, Fla. (AP) - The choreographer for America's Junior Miss national finals has been arrested for allegedly having sex with underage girls. Authorities in Lake Mary, Florida, arrested Georgio Fagan Friday at Georgio's American Dance Center. He was booked on charges at the Seminole County Jail, then was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
Police charged him with two counts of unlawful sex acts with a minor and lewd and lascivious battery on a minor. He is also accused of giving the girls Ecstacy.
Authorities say a 16-year-old dancer came forward last December, saying she was given drugs and had sex with Fagan on numerous occasions. She also provided the names of other alleged victims to the authorities.
Fagan has been the Junior Miss choreographer the past six years. The national finals are held in Mobile.
I mean come on....he's a choreographer...

And he's out on $10,000 bond? He probably put that on his credit card. He should be under the jail, not in it.

Remember, he hasn’t been convicted yet. I think there’s a better than even chance he’s guilty, but in a situation like this, it’s quite possible that a disgruntled losing contestant would invent accusations. As far as I can tell from the article, the only “evidenc” is the accusations made by the 16 year old girl.
We do have a serious problem with the bail system in this country, with people who are clearly guilty of a serious crime getting let out to go commit some more while awaiting trial. I hope this guy is under close surveillance, but I’m not sure he’s a good candidate for denying bail. Imagine if any adolescent beauty contestant could be assured of getting any pageant staff member locked up for weeks or months just by making an unfounded accusation. She’d end up with no criminal record, on account of being a juvenile, but that wouldn’t undo the jail time or permanent cloud of suspicion inflicted on the accused.
Scumbags like this POS make all of us who work with kids, regularly or on occasion, look suspect. I coach girls softball, and I can’t hug them of touch them at all any more. I will only help my own daughters get the catchers gear on. I love coaching the kids, but some sick parent will try to sue me, i’m sure, for just trying to teach kids to learn and love a great game.
I know he hasn’t been convicted yet; but if you were facing a federal maximum life sentence, wouldn’t you run?
I would just see him as a flight risk.
Hey, I share your astonishment that this pedophile is not in lockdown while awaiting trial. To any rational person, it’s unbelievable. The parents must be especially disgusted.

I think that is why the schools started doing background checks on parents and teachers.
Would make sense to expand that to other professions.
That applies to all Catholic priests and most military recruiters and drill instructors.
I meant adolescent young people, not young adults.
$10,000 sounds too cheap.
