If only He displayed the same passion regarding border security.

HALF-ASSING on the job, as I see it.

Reid said Iraq is the most important issue facing the United States...

Global warming just got pushed to the back of the line? That must mean Altoast is making it all up!

Ok, Mr. President, now use that bully pulpit to surprise US with an interruption of the illegal invaders!

Like your oath of office REQUIRES.

I already hear crickets chirping at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Crashing a meeting led by Tony Snow and Ed Gillespie is small potatoes compared to what would be required to stop the illegal invasion of America across our southern border.

If I had space for two tag lines, this would be the second one.

“Harry Reid, the first US Senator to have a Hindu open the Senate with prayer, and with 98 Senators absent.”

The interruption precedes what is expected to be an all-nighter in the Senate on Tuesday, ordered by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

Damn, that's going to impact revenues with the escort services...

Kudos for President Bush. Dale Carnegie said a long time ago to make your decisions carefully, make them yours and be prepared to die by them. It appears that Dubya has done this. I firmly believe that the war in Iraq would be over by now if only the congress had given our military and its commander in chief a united backing. OSB’s play book said all along that the American people didn’t have the will to pay the price for victory. The American people do, but congress doesn’t. Particularly the democrats. Their rhetoric has forced them into a vested interest in defeat and they are so afraid that this surge is going to work that they are now trying to prevent it.

I have never before seen such a large group of cowards with a yellow streaks down their backs trying to convince the rest of us that it is caused by a liver disorder like this bunch is.

Our president is at war, our military is at war, but our congress and we Americans are not at war. We the people, other than the military families, have nothing invested in this war. We are not being asked to sacrifice anything and perhaps this is why so many fail to see the risk of losing to Al Queda in Iraq. I am old enough to remember WWII when every American was sacrificing for the war effort. I remember that almost every family had a relative at the front, and everyone was feeling the effect of rationing of rubber, sugar, gasoline, butter, bacon and even shoes.

We have become a nation of powder puffs. AQ knows it. Congress is failing to provide any leadership and support for the effort. If we don’t fight them and win in Iraq then where? The lame stream media never asks the Dems this question because they know they have no answer. If this bunch had been in congress during WWII we would all be speaking German or Japanese now.

May God help us all.

Now build the damned wall!”

“We need a “virtual fence”, instead”

The WH communication dept is a mess .
Why do they wait for days after the Dems and the leftist media trashes his Iraqi plan ?
They need to out front attacking there enemies every day and evening .Why did Bush make a big deal and visit the Senate over the amnesty mess and not go it for Iraqi ?
The WH priorities and message is a huge disconnected train wreck.

If we lose in Iraq the wall may not matter. I too am disappointed in our president’s lack of effort to control illegal immigration. But at this critical juncture in the course of our human events, the wall is not the most critical exposure that we face.

I believe that every 18 year old American citizen should be given the option to volunteer for the military or be drafted into the border patrol. Then we wouldn’t need the steel and concrete wall. We would have a human wall, and an opportunity for every American youth to sacrifice for their country.

I wouldn’t advise you to hold your breath. FR news has become about illegal immigration 24/7. I rarely even bother to read replies anymore. I would even dare to say that this is why the freepathon is taking so long to meet its goal.

I wonder who the President called a sonofabitch?

In Washington?

About 99.44% qualify.

I find your estimate to be extremely too low....

The fact that Congressional Republican staffers actually thought that President Bush’s “surprise visit” to this meeting was spontaneous is proof that they are not qualified to do their jobs and should be fired.

Staffers are supposed to be savvy about how Washington real politics works and this minor charade shouldn’t have fooled them at all. If they are impressed with such a basic tactic from a friendly President, how can they possibly advise their bosses on the Democrats tactics and strategies?
