Kudos for President Bush. Dale Carnegie said a long time ago to make your decisions carefully, make them yours and be prepared to die by them. It appears that Dubya has done this. I firmly believe that the war in Iraq would be over by now if only the congress had given our military and its commander in chief a united backing. OSB’s play book said all along that the American people didn’t have the will to pay the price for victory. The American people do, but congress doesn’t. Particularly the democrats. Their rhetoric has forced them into a vested interest in defeat and they are so afraid that this surge is going to work that they are now trying to prevent it.

I have never before seen such a large group of cowards with a yellow streaks down their backs trying to convince the rest of us that it is caused by a liver disorder like this bunch is.

Our president is at war, our military is at war, but our congress and we Americans are not at war. We the people, other than the military families, have nothing invested in this war. We are not being asked to sacrifice anything and perhaps this is why so many fail to see the risk of losing to Al Queda in Iraq. I am old enough to remember WWII when every American was sacrificing for the war effort. I remember that almost every family had a relative at the front, and everyone was feeling the effect of rationing of rubber, sugar, gasoline, butter, bacon and even shoes.

We have become a nation of powder puffs. AQ knows it. Congress is failing to provide any leadership and support for the effort. If we don’t fight them and win in Iraq then where? The lame stream media never asks the Dems this question because they know they have no answer. If this bunch had been in congress during WWII we would all be speaking German or Japanese now.

May God help us all.
