You have missed the point of my Post 38.
Words, especially words in the medical literature, have meaning. The careless use of the term "pedophilia" allows gays who want to be allowed to be Scoutmasters in the Boy Scouts to say:
"Medical studies show NO correlation between pedophelia and homosexuality."
Every time the Boy Scout issue comes up, that is one of the gay lobby talking points.
That is a true statement and the "We Want Gay Scoutmasters" lobby then shows legitimate medical studies from the respected medical literature that say exactly that.
Many in the American public then think, "Well, if medical studies show that, then it is O.K. for gays to be Scoutmasters of a troop full of 13-17 year old Boy Scouts."
People who have sex with children are pedophiles.
That, right there, is the statement that hands the homosexual lobby their ammunition.
You might like to call all sexual relations with children under 18 "pedophelia" but that is NOT what the word means. As Abe Lincoln once said:
"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Pedophilia means being sexually attracted strongly or even exclusively to prepubescent or early pubertal children.
However, as the posted article about gay priests states , "Some 78 percent of the males allegedly abused were adolescent males between the ages of 11 and 17."
THAT is pederasty, the sexual attraction by adults to ADOLESCENT males.
The careless use of the medical term "pedophelia" hands the gay lobby one of their most effective talking points.
