OK, That’s what he’s talking about in referring to the FreeRepublic posts just now.

According to SaveWRKO.com and a source/"mole" at WRKO, Howie wants out of there as soon as possible.

Since Howie Carr's return to the airwaves last week, many have assumed he would continue at WRKO until his contract ends in September. Since yesterday, however, we've been hearing from insiders who believe Howie may not be visiting Guest Street much longer. From one tippety- tiptoed tipster:

"Howie seems prepared for an immediate departure, he wants out now! The spin about him staying put seems a ploy to keep a lid on the sales department, to prevent a mass exodus and maintain Howie's current client list.

"But account execs aren't stupid. It's part of the job to get a feel for situations like these. Several are ready to leave, while others are considering a move. Morale is at an all-time low and frustration with management is high. This whole thing has very quickly become a house of cards. One key move, and boom, there's nothing left!"

The big question: what will free him from his remaining WRKO shows? Posted by Brian Maloney at 07:54 AM | Commen
