I’m sorry that you’ve given up hope. I disagree with many of the policies of the current GOP leadership, such as: bigger government, amnesty for illegals, kow-towing to the democrats, NCLB and the drug giveaway with Ted Kennedy, etc. However, this is a country with two major parties, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. Do you propose going over to the other side or giving up? We can take back the Republican party! We have the numbers, which was evident during the shamnesty fiasco! I would imagine there were a great many Democrats who also phoned their Senatesitters during the recent Amnesty siege, so, unfortunately, I don’t think that was any indication of Republican strength, but, still encouragingly, an indication of some good old American spirit.
I hate to see you give up, too, Krankor. The Republican Party went far to the left of me way back before GHWB’s day, but I am still with it. Because the party deserted it’s platform, I no longer contribute to the RNC, preferring to donate directly to my candidates.
