I heard a lib commentator talking on ABC News, I think it was, saying that we NEED China; otherwise, we will be naked, etc.
So I was thinking, duh, how about we make clothes, etc. in our own country, then we won’t be “naked.”
But the fact that it affects our NATIONAL SECURITY, because we can’t make weapons and other kinds of military equipment, is particularly frightening.
The SCARIEST part is that countries like Sweden manufacture the smart bomb guidance system can neuter our military capabilities just because they “don’t agree” with battle in Iraq or taking the war to the enemy.
Back in WW1, Germany was defeated by blockades of their resources.
WW2, we had to carry the Soviet Union with a lend lease program (that they never paid back) in order to have them as allies (I still don’t believe they were...).
Now that we pretty much lost our manufacturing, we are vulnerable to blockades.
