Tribal Law is confusing and constantly contested. They are nations but the USA is sovereign. They have their own laws but they cannot violate federal laws.
Actually we are not powerless. The feds are funding many Native American projects. They have been a hot item for grant funding for several years. They are also not limited to Tribal Nation benefits. They can access federal & state benefits. That’s why WE have a problem as taxpayers, even if you might not care about the people.
