The border between the United States and Mexico is 2100 mile (3360 km). Texas-Mexico border is about 1200 miles. Looks like US citizens are getting short-changed ... even with drones and satellites still a bit of a gap. Like a fat man in a suit too small.

Guess any extra money to build the whole thing goes for Chertoff's Performance Bonus. Better deal than Gen. Pace got.
