Bush defends his immigration proposals
AP ^ | July 19, 2007 | By DEB RIECHMANN

President Bush sharply challenged critics of his stalled immigration-overhaul efforts on Thursday, suggesting that failure to pass a guest-worker program could trigger a labor shortage in the United States.

At a town-hall style meeting, Bush also rebuffed a question about whether he would consider pardoning two Border Patrol agents in prison for the cover-up of the shooting of a drug trafficker in Texas.

"No, I won't make you that promise," Bush told a woman who asked about a possible pardon. ...............

"I know it's an emotional issue but people need to look at the facts. These men were convicted by a jury of their peers after listening to the facts" as presented by U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, said Bush. Bush called Sutton a friend.............

The president said he was disappointed about his immigration bill's demise in the Senate and reiterated his support for a guest worker program and a path toward citizenship for many of the 12 million illegal immigrants now in the United States.

Without such a program, and with stricter enforcement of the border, said Bush, "I can make you a prediction ... that pretty shortly people are going to be knocking on people's doors saying `Man we're running out of workers."'

You’ve had a good week Jorge. Try to resist snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Let it go Senor W.

Let me see, this clearly states that Bush does not want our border laws enforced. For anyone who doubts, I think this lays it on the table.

I also have to say that it's more likely, if things continue that people will soon be saying, "May we're running out of money to cover free medical care for illegal aliens."

I just gotta rephrase something for our poor, misguided President here:
"I can make you a prediction ... that pretty shortly people are going to be knocking on people's doors saying `Man we're running out of dirt cheap, illegal workers."'

And I’ll make a prediction that, in not too many weeks, Jorge will be before the TV cameras declaring that his prediction has come true, with a backdrop of desperate employers who just can’t find enough (dirt cheap, illegal) workers.

We shouldn’t believe a single word he or anyone in his administration says on this subject.

"The facts," Georgie Porgie? What do you know about the facts? You just listen to your "good buddy" Sutton and buy everything he tells you.

The "fact" is that the chain of evidence was broken on the bullet because the "handler" of the drug runner took the bullet home with him and the drug smuggler. Sounds kind of irregular to me. Shouldn't that bullet have remained with the lab or in the evidence room?

The "fact" is that you only have the criminal's word for the claim that he was unarmed. He managed to get back across the border without being caught. The fact is that two of the "brother officer" witnesses who testified against Ramos and Compean changed their stories. In fact they were later fired for having altered their original testimony. The "fact" appears to be that you Georgie Porgie will do anything to destroy the moral of our border patrol agents to prevent them from enforcing our laws.

Those are the facts Mr. President!

Then go ask the liberals and femi-Nazis; after all, they authorized and orchestrated abortion, one of the largest mass murders in history, with at least 30+ Million victims.

President Bush: the tax cuts and the response to al-Qaeda (Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere) were great, but right now, with this amnesty for illegal aliens thing, could you just take the not-so-subtle hint and STFU!

W’s buddies (ie campaign money backers) might end up in jail for employing illegals, and he’s none too happy about it.

RRRRRRRROOOOARRRR!!!!

I don’t believe what I am reading... the man is shameless. The POTUS has gone around the bend on this “guest” worker BS.

Hey Freepers, are you sure he is one of ours? Is he schizophrenic?

How many ways must the American population shout “NO!” before this man gets it? Maybe we need to speak Spanish? Oh, wait: “No” in Spanish is still “No”

Hey, El Presidente Jorge’... get a clue... END WELFARE, and send the public assistance crowd “down to the farm.”

The commandants of the Corporate slave-labor camps need to have their hind quarters torched. Maybe we should boycott the major offenders. Maybe we should boycott Mexico, not buy their produce and finished goods... but then we’re stuck buying crap from China... Crap, how did we get into this stupid predicament? I am so doggone frustrated, I don’t know whether to spit or piss.

I wonder what the President would do if one million heavily-armed and pissed-off American CITIZENS showed up on the southern front, and started “correcting” the problem ourselves?

I doubt the NG or the BP would fire upon Americans, and all the regulars are scattered abroad. Of course... the Waco-Ruby Ridge baby killers from the BATF would probably slaughter American citizens, and do it with a smile.

None of this refutation of national sovereignty makes any sense. A general mutiny against this Administration and the US Congress is sounding more appealing with each pro-illegal alien speech Mr. Bush and his fellow travelers make. I wonder if he’s got a deal going with Mexico, so to have access to their oil? What else could it be? The IEA just put out that 82 pg report, finally admitting declining world oil production (peak oil)... Russia is laying claim to the Arctic ... WW-III is looking more likely in the Middle East... the price of Gasoline is going through the stratosphere, and the cost of everything connected with it... Old Chinese curse: May you live in interesting times.

If the times get any more “interesting” I think I may begin to sweat blood.

Jorge W. continues to hold border enforcement hostage to mass amnesty. I think the man is politically tone deaf on the subject of immigration.
