JULY 19--Incensed by the most recent arrest of an alleged drug dealer, a Cleveland politician wrote the perp a scathing, profanity-filled letter that referred to the man as a "crack dealing piece of trash" who should "go to jail or the cemetery soon." In a July 12 letter, a copy of which you'll find below, Councilman Michael Polensek, 57, tore into Arsenio Winston, 18, after learning of the teenager's arrest earlier this month on a felony drug trafficking rap.

The letter itself needs to be read, because the excerpts don’t do it justice.
Not by a long shot.
I think it’s a great letter!
At least, he is not a politician who hides what he really thinks.
HiJinx is right. Click the link. It’s worth the time.
That’s awesome. His English could have been a little better, but all in all a great effort. Bravo!
Well, kudos for speaking his mind, but nice way to ensure that you’ll be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life. Seriously. He’s just begging for some gangsta to “keep it real” on his ass.
Oops — “ensure that HE’ll be looking over his shoulder...”
As a former resident of the Collinwood area that Polensek represents, I say give em hell Mike. In 82 and before ,Collinwood was a neat well-kept area populated by Slovenians, Italians, Lithuanians and Irish. Except for some notable exceptions the area is now an unkempt, deteriorating collection of falling apart real estate. If more people stood up for the law abiding citizenry, scum like this would be a thing of the past
I read the letter and I counted the word “ass” three times. that hardly qualifies it as “profanity filled”. Seems like Mr. Polensek was just giving it to him straight. I am sure that they are know looking at the possibility of sueing either Mr. Polensek or the city for damaging poor Arsenio’s self-esteem. Just another example of “the man” trying to keep him down. (sarcasm) LOL
I did not read anything in that letter that could be considered a threat by any reasonable person (of course there are a lot of judges out there that I do not consider reasonable and even more inner city juries that I consider to have made unreasonable decisions).
I also find it totally ludicrous how some parents defend their foolish children no matter how idiotic their behavior.
Councilman Michael Polensek was simply pointing out that this young man actions and his history indicate that he will spend the rest of his life bouncing in and out of jail or he will end up dead. The statistics bare him out.
I never thought that I’d envy Cleveland.
Excellent letter.
However, I seriously doubt that the animal can read.
A day in the stocks in the town square. And, not to ridicule them, but to shame them, make them feel some pain, and make them think.
In fact, when I visited Colonial Williamsburg, the stocks were displayed in front of the court house, that's the way it was. You were allowed to walk past them and stare at them, but that's about it. The law was that if you ridiculed or otherwise harassed the guys in the stocks, you got to join them. Tough discipline.
Bent bottle cap says the intended recipient cannot read it himself.
My take on the letter is this:
It’s not often that an elected official takes the time to compose a personal letter to one of his constituents. I wish more of our elected officials would show this much interest in the welfare of their fellow citizens.
Winston's MOTHER is the biggest threat to her idiot son.
The councilman 's letter did him a favor.
One of my favorite authors wrote:
"A mother is the greatest educator, either for or against crime."
bump
Believe it or not, most blacks with any sense admire the councilman for”telling it like it is”.Sure beats the whimpering liberal hand wringing most white politicians do when it comes to these issues.
The letter is just fine as it is. The message is clear: real men go to work or school everyday, losers sell dope, and the NFL doesn’t want them. This councilman is writing the letter that Americans are not writing. Good job councilman. You are a leader.
