Yeah, but don’t you think the kid would have had clothes on? That’s what’s really strange here.
I never thought it was worth the consequences to leave a naked toddler running around the house. They may not care about what they do and when they do it, but I did, and I wouldn’t do that to myself. I had enough to do without cleaning THAT up.
Sodomizing is hardly humping a leg. Get a life.
Sorry, we are gonna have to agree to disagree. I don’t buy it.
Because they're a wonderfully loyal AND GENTLE breed when they and THE OWNERS are trained correctly. Too many Americans have no clue how to train and to control a dog correctly. I've known nasty, vicious teacup 5-pound poodles who constantly snapped at and bit people. The difference is that the size of the poodles made their actions and temperament seem "cute" to the owners.
Two year olds weren’t made for clothes...But then, any house with a toddler isn’t made for a pitbull.
I will admit, normally I’m one of the “Breeds aren’t bad, owners are bad” set, but I think this might have just pushed me over the edge.
I'm scratching my head too. Did the kid have on a diaper and the dog tore it off? This just doesn't sound "right".
You must live in a warm climate then. Maybe they weren't but in many places, there's no choice.
Plus, I never thought letting my son run *free* was so important that I'd be willing to put his masculinity on the line. I never felt I wanted to explain to him that his inability to father children was my fault. I just don't consider it worth the risk. One wrong move and it's all over....
I do, as a matter of fact, live in South Texas.
I never would have thought this possible...But then, I would never have a big aggressive dog around my children, naked or no. I hope this poor kid hasn’t been damaged permanently by this, that would just break my heart.
I met a woman who moved from FL to NY and couldn’t believe what an exercise it was just getting ready to go somewhere with a baby. She said there, they just put on their diappies and were ready to go. Can’t even count on that in the summer here.
I’m guessing the kid was playing on the floor and the dog tried to hump him and by some fluke *succeeded* (for lack of a better word).
I agree with your points about the owners and the viscious 5-pound poodles, however, I must disagree with 'gentle'. There are relatively few stories of dogs of stature similar to pits attacking, mauling, maiming and/or killing people. Pits are inherently aggressive, and it is that aggressive nature that attracts many people to this breed.
Apparently naked isn’t safe around animals. A friend told me of someone she knew whose husband crawled under the bathroom sink in the middle of the night to turn off a leaky faucet. The cat strolled by and as cats do, batted at .... well, she had to call 911 for her unconscious husband who was bleeding from TWO places.
I agree with you. I have one that is always on my lap. You have to be in control of ANY breed of dog that is aggressive not just the Pit.
