Let's see, we'd have received valuable information in return for......operational access to U.S. ports for people in bed with Al Q'aeda?

You're right. And the value of the prospective information arrangement wouldn't have lasted longer than it took this scribbler's assiduity to pop a public story about it, would it?

Anybody think this Reston wannabe would have held off on his story, if he'd found out there was a continuing U.S. intelligence interest in the arrangement he was reporting on?
