No, Iraq is not killing us. The way the Iraq “war” is being fought could be killing us. By “us” I mean Conservatives.

What is killing us is the gutless, spineless Republican Party.

The way things are going right now is we are looking at a Predident hillary and fm bill in ‘09.

The Republican hierarchy won’t mind or care, but I gurantee you that we Conservatives will.

All that press and neither one can crack the John Kerry 47/48% mark.

Answer, with a question, who is at home, not working, to answer the phone?

You are absolutely right. I am afraid it comes down to us getting out of Iraq by the elections or President Hillary takes us out in ‘09. Then of course they will bring in 60,000,000 third world immigrants turning us into a permanent minority and end talk radio. They will probably find away to destroy Rupert Murdoch and we will be living in a fascist state. The unreality of this board to what is going on is unbelievable.

This is disconcerting. However, we are 18 months out of the election and its been nothing but wonderful nonstop coverage for Obama and Hillary. If anyone thinks that Obama is going to win, they are crazy.

In southern states she will get votes from blacks and the feminists who congregate around college campuses.

That’s about 20%.

She can’t win if she can’t carry the south.

5. Hilliary voted infavor Amnesty for Illegals.

Unfortunately, Bush's stance on illegal immigration, amnesty, and border security are such that many Americans feel there is no difference between the Republicans and Democrats on this these issues. This is a winning issue if someone would step up to the plate and make it the driving issue of the campaign.

I agree she will get wiped out in the south.. but the west coast, midwest and very populus northeast she can win on. That was one reason I was supporting Romney because he seems to be able to attract metro northern voters. Now I’m having second thoughts with his stupid video game violence concerns.

Small wonder the duncely duo is doing well in the polls, Iraq is killing us.

Then so be it!

Iraq is not a game and the men and women who have fought this war are not and should not be considered by either side as political pawns.

What we are doing is Iraq is right and if the prosecution of this war causes the American people to vote for the likes of Hillary or Obama then this generation of Americans will have proven to be the most selfish and ill informed in this country's history.

I saw the Fox pollster on TV this week. He is a flaming lib democrat partisan, and I won’t trust his polls. There are many ways to skew the results to produce propaganda.

Early polls generally favor Democrats. This poll is of registered voters, which will also oversample Democrats.

Look at the poll point spreads...there is about 15 percent un accounted for...they don’t mention the undecideds....

They reported Kerry as triumphing in 2004 until it was shown just how the undecideds were breaking...with the actual vote!

“I agree - polls mean nothing really because a pollster can get them to say whatever they want for a fairly predictible result.”

Time and time again before the last elections, for many MONTHS prior to the election, the polls suggested that the GOP would take a beating...and most at FR kept up the “too early—they don’t mean anything” chant...

They do mean SOMETHING...it is not a good trend. I said so six months before the last election to flames and denials...then elections night, some STILL said the polls were skewed and not trustworthy.

I am NOT suggesting that Hillary Scum will be president, (can’t imagine that power hungry lying leftist skank getting elected) but the polls should be looked to for general trends determining whether the GOP is getting their message out or have a canidate that has traction...The electorate is NOT fired up about any of the declared GOP canidates. Maybe, when Fred actually jumps in, things will change...for the sake of the whole world, I sure hope so.

The unreality of this board to what is going on is unbelievable.

I have to agree with you.

Before the 2006 elections many FReepers were in denial....."polls don't mean anything"......."it's too early"......"don't believe the MSM propaganda"......."the polls are cooked"........"we'll never lose both Houses of Congress"........"polls don't vote, people do".........etc., etc.

Make no mistake.

The data are accurate. We are headed for President HRC unless people wake up soon & stop the denial.

And people still fall for it. Hillary's disapproval rate is still 57%. The only way she can win is with a third party splitting the R vote.
