Don’t forget that all of the Demappeasers want to invade Pakistan to find Ossama bin Hiden. They argue that we should be in Pakistan rather than Iraq....Right!

You have to forgive Juanita, the Surge has caught him off guard and it takes time to change the cliches. The current crop of cliches are circa 1973.

What was it McConnell was going to do?

He was going to attach an amendment to the Libby resolution that brought up the Clinton pardons, particularly the one for Marc Rich. The Democrats couldn't vote for their condemnation of a possible pardon for Libby and then vote down McConnell's amendment without making their hypocrisy totally, blatantly obvious, so the whole matter was dropped.

I just listened to the MTP panel for the first time in years. Nauseating.
They posit that Cheney is destructive to the “process” because he sits silently in meetings, and then tells the president his opinions in a “secret, back channel” way.

WOW! Now that is series!
I guess the way Clinton practically barred Gore from the WH is a better way to operate.

What was it McConnell was going to do? A similar censure of Clinton? Was it likely something that would pass or just raise uncomfortable questions?

Yes. Here 's what happened..

Don’t you understand that the co-clinton’s were genius and President Bush is a dunce. Cheney is only there to hold his droolcup while their genius was Banging the Help.

Because the Democrats want to have their cake and eat it too and are merely relying on their toady's in the PC Media to cover up the fact that they are on both sides of the issue on Iraq.

They try to posture as being FOR the mission but being against the way the mission is being run for the Blue Collar Dems and, at the same time, being “against the War” for their idiot fringe like Moveon.org, Act up, Kos Klowns etc.

I mean, HOW many times do the Democrats have to lose the arguement on Iraq before they finally wake up to the fact the American people DO NOT, and never have, supported their DO Nothing about any serious issues while endlessly grandstanding for the big dollar donors PR stunts? There is a REASON their approval rating has gone from just under 50% to 14% in 6 months. Democrats are just lucky that their base hates us so much. Sane rational Americans would be spitting on the current crop of petulant, incompetent arrogant fools currently running the Democrat party.

Thanks. I literally just found that same K-LO item and was going to post it to you. Just now I was looking for a reference to a threat by Harry Reid to block all military funding, particularly pay for the troops (”you won’t bring them home we won’t pay them”) and stumbled across the NRO bit. Thanks for the link.

Dingy Harry is a total fool and the more the DBM tries to treat him as a serious player the worse they look. Double that for Nazi Pelosi and her very own Igor, Jack Murtha (”Yes, mistress”).

After we get the funds for the military and their raise, I say let them manufacture reasons to fight the President. I think it is working in our favor.

I've seen a recent threat by Reid to cut off funding ("you won't agree to a timeline to bring them home we won't pay them") but I can't find the reference right now.  If I come across it I'll post.  That could be an apocalyptic fight.  It might even devolve into calls for violence from one fringe or the other (real or manufactured for political effect).

Hmmm, the Pakistani foreign minister took American media seriously to task for reporting nothing but American casualties in this war. He point out that plenty of their military are dying in this fight as well.

He was quite effective.

I thought so too bahbah; he also took the american media to task overall on their reporting, although Woffie didn’t catch it, or simply ignored it. Woffie was funny, “this administration’s NIE”(when we know its the intel agencies NIE, and that there are several intel community folks who want to undermine President Bush. Woffie is pretty snarky in much of what he says and really quite biased overall. No surprises there.

“I think many conservatives don’t feel saving one Iraqi is worth one soldier or American. They can’t seem to focus on the big picture.”

I hear the same thing in my household (and there is only one other person in my household).

We have a moratorium on discussing it. He’s very conservative but a pacifist. He doesn’t think we should have fought the revolutionary war!!!

He uses that one American life line also on the rare occasions when we discuss it.

He is a veteran by the way but ....

Mitch is on with Woffie and doing great..in response to Feingold’s effort to censure the President (I didn’t know Russ was planning such an action). Feingold is right in league with the slumber party...not legislating, just playing politics.

Woffie is reading the censure to make sure it gets out in the public.

Mitch: Its safe to say that Feingold is not a fan of President Bush, and that the democrats are just playing games.

Good for Mitch

Woffie is a jerk

PJ O Rouke did a really funny chapter in one of his books about the Overpopulation Nazis. Title of the chapter was “Just enough of me, WAY too many of you”. Just nailed them.
