Warren Mayor Mark Steenbergh claims the federal government is looking to relocate more than 16,000 Iraqi refugees to Warren and Sterling Heights -- and there's no way his city can handle it.

Warren Michigan undoubtedly has illegal aliens just like everywhere else. The federales could make a big push to remove them back to their countries so they can make room for Iraqi refugees.

The mayor is simply protecting his own private stash of illegals to do his lawn and cut his hedge. Come winter, though, they'll move on.

Need to make an adjustment. There appear to be only 1.35% Hispanics in Warren. It's about 20% Polish as well, and they've historically been a large source of "undocumented tourists" Fur Shur. But they don't do lawns!

As it is the demographers in several sources say Warren MI was America's "whitest city" for several decades but that title has passed to next door Livonia MI.

The number of Chaldean Christians (from Iraq etc.) is sufficiently large to be worth noting. However, I'd just betcha Indianapolis, Indiana (Marion County) has a larger number of Chaldeans and Chaldean descendants than just about anyplace in the United States. Problem is they are so thoroughly integrated and assimilated most of them really don't know what that's about unless they attend a church with "St. George" in the name.

Toledo has its share, as does Nashville. Detroit metro isn't the only place with large Arab-Amerian settlements.

For the most part Arab-Americans, whether Christian or Moslem, pretty much disappear as an identifiable group in the first generation.
