That colonoscopy wasn't so bad. Not fun, but not horrible either. Bless his heart. My mom and her sister and relatives have to get them every year; Grandpop died of colon cancer, and *everyone* gets polyps. I'll be doing it in the next 12 months, now that I'm Officially 40+.
President Bush is looking old and tired. I hope he makes it through the next 18 months.

Great relaxing picture.Did you notice what appears to be a hammock in the background? I wonder if GWB and Barney were relaxing under the trees until Bolton came to get them.

In the meantime, the fools who cannot separate a policy disagreement from personal animus will hand the presidency and Congress over to the Dems next year -- unless the Right gets a major attitude adjustment fast.I sure hope they can get a big damn grip before then!

Shield...that's one of my favorite photos of Barney. (Of course, almost all photos of Barney are one of my favorites. Grin...)
There are so many to remember through these years. There's one of GWB trying to hang onto a young Barney while struggling with his nemisis -- an unbrella. There's the one where President Bush kisses Barney after he accidentally dropped the dog on the tarmac at an airport.
There's the photos of President Bush and his good friend, Ariel Sharon, when the men held a press conference at Prairie Chappel Ranch, and Barney accompanied them.
There's the one of Barney, looking small and sweet and loyal, sitting right outside the closed Oval Office door waiting for his Boss.
So many good memories.
And my favorite one of all is of the President and his beloved Spotty in the Oval Office.

I've got a folder as others do just of Barney. Barney can be a little toot. Running off...not wanting to get on AF1...and Our President having to chase him down. Then once Miss Beasley enters the picture....Barney takes sometime to warm up to her. And she gives old Barney a very hard time. Just all too cute. ;o) They're all just a precious family. How lucky we are having them.
I loved Reagan and he was a very precious man...but his family does not even compare to this Bush Family. It's always the women that sets that tone. And Our Precious First Lady has done that in such a marvelous way.
