Who's the dumbest Congressman on the Fairness Doctrine and Iraq? Why, its George "RINO" Voinovich! He really is the stupidest person to sit in Congress today.

I’m an Ohioan. I’ve long thought Voinovich was losing it. Apparently it’s much, much worse than I thought. He isn’t even reading the bills that he votes on.

The dumbest is Sheila Jackson Lee, who thinks our astronauts have walked on Mars. That is major league dumb. And, she sits on a space subcommittee.

My replay over the past several years still shows Patty Murray by a neck.

And let’s not even start with the House. You don’t compare professionals with amateurs.

DFL will likely cite his story, but Congresswoman Jackson-Lee, when briefed about the Mars rovers, asked if one of them would approach the flag that the Apollo astronauts planted.

He has a pretty good point.

I think you will enjoy this mocking YouTube — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e71apabmtY4

Other News: The two Voyager missions marked their 20th anniversaries in late August and early September. Voyager 1 was launched on September 5, 1997 and Voyager 2 on August 20 (Voyager 1 was launched on a faster trajectory, hence the earlier designation). The two spacecraft provided detailed looks at the four gas giant worlds, and the RTG-powered spacecraft continue to return data on the sun’s magnetic field and particle environment, especially important as the two craft approach the heliopause, the boundary between interplanetary and interstellar place... The Congressional bonehead award goes to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) who, on a visit to JPL, asked if Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted there in 1969 by Neil Armstrong! Quipped Rep. Vernon Ehlers (R-MI) to the Washington Times: “We just don’t teach enough science.” Worse, Jackson Lee, who represents Houston, is a member of the House Science Committee’s space subcommittee. Perhaps some committee reassignments are in order...

I will raise you one Maxine Waters (D) Ca. who said the CIA started the cocaine epidemic by putting the drug in the L.A. water supply.

And let's not forget that this is the pillar of strength who broke down in tears on the floor of the senate during the debate over the appointment of John Bolton as the US ambassador to the UN. You know THAT struck fear into the hearts of our enemies!

Major Owens claimed on the House floor that 100 million slaves died on the trip to America. He claimed that the ecology of the ocean changed and the sharks are still swimming the route.

Well, we could say Voinivich is the dumbest man in the Senate, but Mark Levin has given that designation to Joe “Plugs” Biden.

Voinivich may be a top contender, but there are several that have him beat by a mile.

Congresswoman Jackson Hyphen Lee also took to task the NOAA -- I think that's the correct beauracracy -- over the naming of hurricanes and tropical depressions.

She said there should be more "African-American" names. Like Jamal and Shamequa, presumably.

Agreed, Voinovich is no rocket surgeon but NOBODY is as stupid as Barbara Boxer.

Personally, I came to this conclusion while listening to the man babble and sputter during what should have been a routine interview with radio talker Sean Hannity – a friendly to most Republicans.

I heard that radio interview a couple of weeks ago, and Hannity seemed flummoxed by how stupid Voinovich was. I bet Sean was thinking to himself, "Sheesh.... This guy is almost as stupid as Barbara Boxer!"

She said there should be more "African-American" names.

When she did that I was hoping that "Sheila" would be on the next list.
