Oh, puh-leese. These are adolescent males and most likely just need a stern talking to about the proper way to interact with the newly-interesting to them opposite gender. By this standard I’d probably have been labelled a sex offender for some of the stupid, juvenile things I did at that age.
personally, i’d say the punishment should reflect the crime. a few minutes in the woodshed should do the trick.
I popped a girl’s bra strap in 5th grade. Had a major crush on her. She knew it. Her Mom knew it. I got invited to her birthday party that year. “Spin the bottle” did not favor me that day, and courage failed me, and we never went to the roller-rink together.
In today’s environment they probably would have sent me to some kind of re-education camp.
Geez...what did I do as a teen:
-smacked a couple butts (girls)
-told a few dirty jokes
-kissed a 19 year old girl when I was 16
-told a girl she looked “hot”
By these standards today I’d be labeled a sex offender. It’s nuts.
