Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan (SHEE'-han) is scheduled to be in Philadelphia today (Tuesday) at a rally calling for the impeachment of President Bush.
Yesterday (Monday), she spent an hour trying to get Congressman John Conyers to launch impeachment proceedings against Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Conyers chairs the House Judiciary Committee, where any impeachment effort would have to begin. She says Conyers told her there aren't enough votes for impeachment to move forward on the issue.
Sheehan says with the Democrats not holding the administration accountable, she's planning to run for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's seat.
She was 1 of several dozen protesters cited for disorderly conduct at the Capitol.
Disgrace.
If impeachment procedings went forward and failed, is the President protected from double jeopardy?

I'm ashamed to admit to be from that area. Where's Frank Rizzo?
Frank Rizzo would personally slam a nightstick over the head of that cumb dunt Sheewhine, and then invoice her for the cost of the broken nightstick.
And millions would applaud, including me.
