Why oh why isn’t this woman spending her last months on earth with her babies? If her husband’s political fortunes take precendence over her children, who are no doubt either in the “care” of babysitters or dragged along the campaign trail in planes and busses, during their mother’s last days, is selfish beyond words.

Edwards is a guy who supports abortion but once tearfully “channeled” the ghost of an unborn child in court to win a big case. Nothing the Edwards duo would do would surprise me.

And don’t forget Al Gore’s 1996 speech in which he described his sister’s slow, horrible death from lung cancer in 1984. He claimed that that was the moment when he dedicated himself to destroying the tobacco industry. Yet it turned out that not only did he continue to vote pro-tobacco in the Senate right up until he assumed the vice-presidency in 1992, but it 1988 he spoke at a tobacco industry meeting and bragged about how pro-tobacco he was. Democrats are just shameful.
