He holds dual memberships in the Hollywood Club and the Lawyers Club? He's been a Senator, too. Is that helping?;^)

I think she was one that chased him without ever catching. Better find out because if Fred and Margaret spent the "quality time" together, you can be certain that Fred will be spending the final weeks before election day fighting accusations, real or imagined, coming from Carlson's mouth. Unless she actually supports Fred's run which would be even more alarming. It's very poor judgment to associate with the enemy.
And what is it with lib journalists trying to latch onto conservative men? Wasn't Maureen Dowd after Rush Limbaugh at one point? Can't they find any heterosexual men amongst their own political persuasion?

Will he run? Won't he? Will he? Won't he? Will he?
Oh the hand-wringing dilema!
The truth is that he's waited too long. It is amazing that he's in the polls without even declaring, but it's all just a bunch of hype. I'm sure Fred is a nice guy and all that, but he won't be the next President. And this "testing the waters" line is way old now. It makes Fred look indecisive and unsure.
And with him <possibly> in the Race, he could hand the moleHill the White House.
I'm not chancin' that.
Rudy Giuliani will be voted in as President. It's the only right thing to do, for a man who is the best man for the job.

This article reads an awful lot like one I read in late 1979 with Reagan substituted for Thompson. One big difference. Reagan was strongly engaged with the conservative cause throughout his career. I mean Thompson was barely a blip on the political radar during his term in office. Even out of office, Reagan was highly active in politics. I remember listening to his radio commentary quite often.
