From the article “Mohammed said 10 people died and that another 35 were wounded, including five police officers.” Well at least he was not named Mohamed.

Most likely Mujahid fired the rockets, probably closer to 50 dead.

The Taliban appear to be deliberately provoking a confrontation with Musharraf. The Americans have hinted broadly that we're willing to come in from the north. Mushy takes out the Red Mosque. Some tribes in Waziristan appear to be turning on al Qaeda; others appear to be their last redoubt. And it's late summer - war season - in Waziristan. Soon there will be heavy rains and many of the streams will become impassible.
This is a fantastically combustible mixture. This area is between 100 and 200 miles southeast from Kabul. It is a little amusing to hear Pakistan huffing and puffing about sovereignty - they haven't any over this area in fact and never have.
The weather here is known for its fierceness, although I am not entirely certain why. It can freeze at higher altitudes. Summertime mean high is 86 Fahrenheit. Frankly that sounds pretty good to me right about now...
This sounds like killing ground, and it is, and it always has been.

A hotel, a government officials residence and Chawk Bazar were hit by the rockets.
A rocket hit the government official's house setting it on fire. When people from arrived to extinguish the fire, another rocket hit injuring 30 men including five policemen.
