First Presidential LBGT Forum Expected to Promote Homosexual Agenda
The Christian Post ^ | July 23, 2007 | Nathan Black

Posted on 07/24/2007 11:56:06 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Democratic presidential candidates are confirmed to participate next month in the first-ever presidential forum on issues concerning the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

Hosted by MTV's homosexual cable network, Logo, and sponsored by the nation's largest homosexual activist organization, the Human Rights Campaign, the one-hour event on Aug. 9 will feature Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, who will engage in conversation on marriage, hate crimes, HIV/AIDS and other issues.

'“We’re honored to give the presidential candidates a historic opportunity to share their views directly with the LGBT audience,” said Brian Graden, president of Logo, in a released statement.

Conservatives warn that the forum is "clearly a setup" and the gay agenda will come across loud and clear.

The debate will focus solely on homosexuality in front of an audience of gay activists, noted Connie Mackey, senior vice president of Family Research Council Action.

"It's not good politics," she said, according to CitizenLink, a publication of Focus on the Family. "The only positive I see out of it is that if enough Americans actually watch the Democratic candidates answer some of these questions, they're going to understand something about them that they probably have not understood before.

"The questions will be posed in such a way that it looks mean if you're not for it," she added. "So, they'll pose those questions strategically."

According to conservative public policy group Concerned Women for America (CWA), all major presidential candidates have been invited to participate and as of Friday, all Republican presidential candidates have declined.

Clinton and Obama, the two leading Democratic presidential candidates, are the only confirmed candidates. Both have expressed support for the LGBT community and have pushed for equality.

CWA's policy director for Cultural Issues Matt Barber expressed concern Friday, arguing that the debate is designed to "advance the radical homosexual agenda and to promote social and governmental acceptance and celebration of the high-risk and destructive homosexual lifestyle."

"It's disgraceful that our nation's moral standards have now dipped so low that it's considered 'tolerant' to hold a debate organized entirely around the promotion of sexual immorality," Barber commented in a statement.

The forum will be held in Los Angeles at 6 p.m. local time before a studio audience and broadcast live without commercial interruption on Logo's cable television channel and at LOGOonline.com.

Let us not forget that way more than 2% of the electorate have either a close friend, amenable acquaintance, or even loved family member who are homosexual or sexually confused. The Rats are playing on their sympathies, too.

“The most hilarious aspect of this upcoming pander fest is that the Religion of Peace would gladly slaughter the entire audience for being gay.”

Huh?

Going to be a lot of great material for GOP ads next year. will really motivate the Christian abd conservative votes to make their votes count.

Fear is a great motivator.

"Self-loathing Heterosexuals?"

No, just people who feel some sympathy for those who are confused. Gay bashing is not fashionable any more, and the Rats try to portray Republicans as still in that mode.

While homosexuality has gone more mainstream than in the past, there is still a considerable distrust of bisexuals and transsexuals, the ones I call "sexually confused". Republicans expressing sympathy for them, in the form of suggesting effective counseling, will go a long ways in making the mushy middle feel more comfortable.

That's quite a leap you're making there hunter. I said "Self-Loathing Heteros", which, if you look closely, is a comment on Heterosexuals, not Homos. Additionally, it's a joke and not meant to be serious. I say dump the holier-than-thou attitude you're carrying around.

Obama and Hilary are going to be the ticket for the democrats.

The ONLY debate is going to be who is on top.

(prediction, Hillary likes to be the man)

homosexual behavior is NOT accepted any more than before, they just have special enhanced protection laws in some places.

The flaw in your misguided sympathy is the fact that the homosexuals continue to push the myth that they have no choice in their behavior. No choice in recruiting the young and impressionable, no choice in seeking out government sanction of their recreational sex fetish.

They continue to push the mythical gene theory as a delay tactic until such time as they can mainstream their sexual fetish. Homosexual seeking acceptance is no different than people who want recreation sex with animals seeking acceptance.

That's what I took it to mean, also.

Additionally, it's a joke and not meant to be serious.

Sorry, my humor meter must be defective today.

I say dump the holier-than-thou attitude you're carrying around.

I'm sorry if it came across as that. The simple fact is, with homosexuals and the sexually confused coming out of the closet, a lot of straight people are beginning to sympathize with them. The Rats are clearly going after those voters from the mushy middle, and I merely wished to point that out.

I respectfully disagree. With some states enacting parallel marriage laws, and more states enacting anti-discrimination laws, I take this as a sign of greater acceptance. I fully acknowlege that there are many who feel exactly as they used to twenty years ago on the subject.

The sexual minorities have long had the support of the left. Now, they're getting support from the mushy middle, and that is what Rat candidates are seeking to exploit with this debate forum. Whether its a choice or not, like making a choice on religion, that middle (where elections are won and lost) is saying that they don't care.
