I don’t know about the wisdom of this. No arab country has ever privatizied their oil resources, and all have subsidies on fuel.

I think this will create anger on the part of Iraqis paying much higher fuel prices than anyone in the region.

this would be a step to take much farther down the road, not when the country is in such a poor state
