I hope the Iraqi team beats the Saudis. Iraqis really could need a moral boosting victory over the Saudi Wahabbis who export death and destruction. A match between Iraq and Iran would be fun too.

That almost happened, had the Iranians beaten S. Korea few days ago. There were jokes among Iraqis critical of some Iraqi officials in government who are too close to Iran, saying these guys would probably support Iran instead of Iraq! Iran actually won this tournament 3 times in the past, but that's going back to the 70's. Also, Japan won it 3 times (including the last two tournaments). And the Saudi's won it 3 times as well. So its a formidable task for Iraq, making their debut to the final, to beat the Saudis on Sunday.
