Democrats: Friends Of The Deadbeats
Boston Herald ^ | July 26, 2007 | Michael Graham

Maybe we should call him “Default” Patrick.

After years of living high off the subprime-lending hog at Ameriquest, Gov. Deval Patrick now seeks his penance by punishing any business foolish enough to loan money to poor people.

It started with his first-in-the-nation moratorium on foreclosures, giving every borrower - honest and otherwise - a reprieve from paying his bills. Then he proposed a $250 million taxpayer-backed fund to buy up bad loans.

Now Deval’s Department of No Good Deed Goes Unpunished wants to force banks to pay the rent of the borrowers who don’t make their mortgage payments.

That’s right: I borrow money for a house I can’t afford. I don’t make my payments. And Default Patrick’s solution is for the banks to give me more money!

It’s like a deadbeat’s dream come true.

If Patrick feels guilty about helping Ameriquest market lousy loan deals to low-income minority families, couldn’t he just start a charity? Rend his clothes, and don the ol’ sackcloth and ashes? Why does he have to punish everybody else?

You may have missed this in Catholic school, Governor, but penance traditionally involves self-flagellation.

In yet another arm-twisting meeting with the mortgage industry yesterday, Patrick reportedly proposed putting lenders on the hook for relocating customers who default on home loans. Banks and mortgage companies would be forced to pay up to $5,000 in rent, moving and other relocation costs when they foreclose.

All because somebody owed them money and didn’t pay it back.

Not to point out the painfully obvious as David Sherr of Lehman Brothers told a U.S. Senate committee investigating subprime loans: “No financial institution would knowingly want to make or securitize a loan that it expected would later go into default.”

Democrats are deadbeats.

Consider Hitlery Rotham stiffing a waitress in upstate New Yarkansas.

Your criticism of Cadillac Deval is unfair.
What else would rapidly bring millions of illegal aliens
and (eloquent) rapists to pluck MA taxpayers’ wallets?

So if everyone in his state quits paying all taxes, the state will then just pick up the slack and pay all their bills. Is that how this works? Or is he only this generous with others money.(like I needed to ask that one)

After years of living high off the subprime-lending hog at Ameriquest, Gov. Deval Patrick...

Does that mean that Patrick worked for Ameriquest?

During the first televised debate of the Democratic primary race, Reilly seized upon Patrick's membership on the board of the parent company of Ameriquest Mortgage Co., whose lending practices were investigated by Reilly's office and with other states.

I guess he did. Massachusetts - a land of complete idiots.

I'd love it if the government were to pay MY mortgage loan. Why discriminate just for deadbeats? In truth, this is just financing personal irresponsibility with taxpayer dollars. Its bailing out people who never should have gotten a loan in the first place. Deval Patrick has NO business bailing out deadbeats with other people's money.

Here's a transcript of a speech by his former Boss:

RENO: I want to take a minute this morning to say thank you to one of the finest public servants I have ever known and to one of the great people that I have ever had the chance to work with. Deval Patrick has served as the assistant attorney general in charge of the civil rights division for the past three years.

He has advised me that he intends to step down in January so he can spend more time with his wife and children in Boston. And I admire his decision, as he knows. But, I regret it as much as I admire it.

For quite simply, he has made such an extraordinary difference for the Department of Justice and for the people of this country.

During his three years, he has spearheaded efforts to insure fairness in the lending industry helping to produce record increases in the number of loans to qualified, minority borrowers. He co-chairs the National Church Arson Task Force which has led to the arrest of more than 100 suspects in more than 80 fires since 1995.

OMFG. Where do I start? Maybe when he's done f**king up Massachusetts and the Lending Industry he can tell us who set THIS church on fire. (:^*)

OH now I remember. It was his murdering boss.

Insanity.

IOW, "liberalism" - an ideology based in the belief that no choice should have any consequences, and that all negative consequences should be paid for, through force, by those who make good decisions.
