You two should be ashamed of yourselves.
I and my kids just returned from a missions trip to Swaziland. The comments from both of you are disgusting.
You have never looked into the eyes of another human being—no matter how poor, how sick, how different from you—that does not matter to God.
I saw more humanity in the grandmothers on the poorest homesteads in Motjane, struggling to feed their grandkids, than in either of you.
Those gorillas are struggling to feed their kids too, while dodging bullets and snares. Most often they are killed so that their hands can be sold as “souvenirs”. They are often found with their hands cut off. Humans do this, and they’ve been doing it for a long time, to each other and to the gorillas and other primates and other very sentient family-oriented creatures like elephants. Maybe you should look into the eyes of a young, still-nursing gorilla, while it watches a gang of human thugs kill its mother, cut off her hands, and carry them off, leaving her mutilated body behind.
