Your post was a reminder to tune in to the Beltway train wreck.
Mort says that Obama was right to be against taking down Saddam. By accident, kind of, but right nevertheless.
Something I will bring up tomorrow about oblama, I think he and hillary have not had a meeting of the minds about him being VP and it's all fallen through.
He is either very gutsy ,stupid or naive to go up against her with the Bush/Cheney lite comment.
He can get away with murder since he is of color(just like bubba)but that only goes so far.
Looks like hillary has decided on Richardson, a tried and tested clintoinista, no time for breaking in a green horn that might actually demand to do something in "her" adm. should she win(which she won't, negatives will keep her out).
They might take a few close states out west with the burgeoning illegal hipspanic vote with fat boy.
anyway that's my guess, bama out-- richardson in.
Theodore Dalrymple wrote a great essay recently on Tony Blair and the effect of willing lies on society in general, and by government in particular. I haven’t been able to retrieve it yet. But it is a chilling thing, and he is a very astute observer of things.
Here is a post of an article discussing Dalrymple’s piece: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1873030/posts
I listen to Hugh Hewitt converse with the beltway boys every Friday night, in the hour after their appearance on Brit’s show without Brit. Almost every week Hugh asks them their opinion on something and they respond that they haven’t heard of [whatever] situation. They are so deep inside the beltway that they might as well be working at the Washington Post or Pravda.
