Hilton's inheritance seized by fed up grandfather (Paris disinherited)
National Nine News ^ | July 30, 2007 | ninemsn staff

Paris Hilton’s recent behaviour has sent her billionaire grandfather into fury — so much so that the hotel heiress-cum-jailbird will not see a cent of her $59 million inheritance.

The co-chairman of the famous hotel chain, Conrad ‘Barron’ Hilton, has instead decided to plough his fortune into a charitable foundation in an effort to carry on family tradition.

And the 79-year-old has also cut off his 11 other grandchildren in the name of philanthropy.

"He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris," says Jerry Oppenheimer, author of House Of Hilton. "He doesn't want to leave unearned wealth to his family."

Hilton senior recently acquired a hefty $2.4 billion after selling off a massive chunk of his hotel chain to private equity firm Blackstone.

Given her grandfathers disapproval, Miss Hilton is now working hard to cash in on her fame while she can.

What ever will she do for money?

She’ll have to prostitute herself...no, wait a minute...

>>> ankle bracelet on her, .. yo that wasn’t for GPS that was for monitoring sweat so what went wrong there?? how come as soon as she touched a drink, her pores didn’t set off alarms somewhere and the rehab people didn’t drag her in?

That’s an interesting story. She neutered the monitor by padding it underneath with Saran Wrap. The pores were insulted from the monitor, so it never detected the alcohol. Clearly she wasn’t smart enough to think of that herself, but whoever gave her the idea hasn’t claimed credit yet. Good plan though, it worked perfectly.

Why the hell is the state monitoring if she’s drinking or not? These freaks ought to be free to self-destruct (albeit in controlled environments).

It was the best gift he could have given them. Have you ever seen anyone who inherited vast sums of wealth who wasn't screwed up by it? Gramps saw what it did to the skank, he didn't want any of the others turning out that way.

By doing this, he guaranteed that they will despise her, until they come to pity her.

Warren Buffett has the same philosophy. I don’t know if he’ll leave anything to his heirs. I believe he once espoused a sentiment that when a wealthy man with no spouse dies, all of his wealth should go to the government.........

He's a hypocrite.... he has put his money into a "non profit" foundation with jobs for life for his spawn.

Am I angry or jealous...nope. He's done good by me, when I started making a little money I bought 5 shares of Berkshire Hathaway back in '83.

He's just a man, he's an opportunist and plays the system. I have no clue what his "true" beliefs are other than what he does with his money. Charlie Munger is actually an important part of Buffet's success.

Inspirational.

Allow me to paraphrase the late Ann Richards:

“Poor Paris Hilton. She can’t help herself. She was born with a silver spoon in her nose.”

I’m happy to see you defending the idea of Paris Hilton inheriting $59M.

So I guess this means John Kerry crossed her off his list of potential next wives. Too bad, she was kinda cute in slutty, skanky way.

It would have been FAR better to see that money spread around by a mindless drunken twit than applied forthrightly by what will inevitably be a host of socialist minded anti-American “pergressive” institutions...

This is definitely one of those “Be careful what you pray for” moments...

Good for you Gran'Pa Hilton!!!

Yes, indeed.

I have a rather wealthy friend whose will stipulates that no grandchild will inherit if they either 1) smoke or 2) are living with a partner to whom they are not married.

Folks are entitled to leave their wealth as they wish

Should have been done long ago... of course this guy should have cut off his kids too...

Simple story, 1 man creates a vast fortune, his children who watched him bust his butt to do it, build it to even greater heights... their children who’ve never had to work a day in their lives, drain it, and by the end of their days or their childrens tops, its mostly frittered away.
