The ad is on The Post’s website. They’re making money off it. They are responsible for their content. They can set the parameters of their ads.

Sort of. Maybe legally. Or maybe not.

The characterization of “Wapo is not backing down” isn’t accurate though. Wapo didn’t consciously choose this ad. In fact, they might even have cause to object to its display. I’d just call it sloppy filtering from Google’s Ad Word program.

I’m sure Wapo requested that all “pornographic” or “discusting and vile” ads not be including in their feed.

I still think it, and this thread, is hilarious, mind you.
