They gave Ruth “Buzzy” Ginsberg a pass. I don’t see anything changing with our Senatewimps.

Schumer would dig up Thurgood Marshall and confirm him, if he could. “Throw out yer’ liberal brains, we need more liberal brains” Schumer has been heard shouting under the windows of hospices in New York. Rolling his cart slowly, and desperately searching the streets before dawn, he hopes to find a morning’s catch of abbey normals.

Albie worote:”A quick toss of a banana peel in John Paul and Ruth’s path would take care of this little problem.”

Not too smart a comment when it comes to SCOTUS Justices, Since even a veiled threat would be taken seriously by the authorities. To each his own, I guess.

It is the DUTY of the Senate to confirm the nominees of the President. Remeber that when there is a Dem President pushing 'liberal' justices for the SC

The object of appointing the justices for life and the President making the nomination was to secure an unbiased, non political minded court to interpret the Constitution for ALL people of the USA.

By your line of reasoning, Presidents would have to appoint Justices who are both in favor and against abortion, capital punishment, etc. The President, at the time, pushes justices who follow his/her agenda. The Senate, if under a majority of the opposing party, fights for a more 'moderate' appointee.

Chucky ain’t god, but Bush has to send his apponitees through Chucky to get ‘em approved. Unless he tries the “Recess Appointment’ end run again.

I sure hope that the GoP metes out as much resistance on judges as the Dems did, if Hillary gets elected.

Ha ha, ya think????

Fearless prediction (and you read it here first):
If the Pubbies _do_ put up resistance to Hillary's court picks, watch the 'rats roll out "the nuclear option", and make it stick.

With one "modification":
Any 'rat imposition of The Nuclear Option in the Senate will self-expire at the end of the current Senate term, so it could never be used by a _Republican_ Senate.

Don't hold your breath. Republicans believe in the Constitution, Democrats don't.

Republicans play softball (and throw like girls), Democrats play hardball.

Remember, GOP stands for "Gutless Old Party."

If the ‘Rats can deny a Republican President selections to the courts, so should the ‘Pubs do to a ‘Rat President.

True enough, but we all know that the 'Pubbies are the "Doormat Party" and lack the spine or the Constitutional principles to actually stand up to the Dems.

Just won't happen!

Chucky ain’t god,

Tell that to Chucky, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Patrick Leahy, Jack Murtha and other Democrats. This group is constantly 'investigating and calling for a special prosecutor' in an effort to destroy any legacy George Bush might have. They haven't earned a day's pay since they got control of both Houses. What they have done is create a serious problem for our military and for the security of our nation. I think it's time the taxpayers insisted the Republicans investigate the actions of these idiots and call for a special prosecutor - even though I detest them - to prove how they have obstructed justice, assumed power they have no legal right to, and caused harm to the nation. They were not elected President and they are not the Commander-in-Chief, but you would never know that from the way they act. They need to be put out to pasture. Better yet, some should serve time IMHO.

I'm afraid you are exactly right with this statement. We have some who will 'stand tall', but then we have the Trent Lotts, Lindsey Grahams, and other RINOS whose spine is like jelly!
